COVID-19 Update (Oct 30 2020): Non-medical Mask Expectations from the Provincial Health Officer

As you are no doubt aware, on Oct 26/20, the BC Provincial Health Officer (PHO) advised British Columbians of her expectation that people now wear masks in all indoor public spaces.

Many post-secondary institutions have already instituted non-medical mask policies. While the Ministry of Advanced Education, Skills and Training is not providing direction on non-medical masks, your post-secondary institution should consider the PHO’s expectation in the context of your COVID-19 safety plans and operational policies.

Thank you for the important role you play in supporting the provincial COVID-19 response. Please share this update broadly within your respective institutions.
